Klassic Kids

Klassic Kids is a licensed, fee based child care program on campus at Loma Portal Elementary. Students must be 4 years old before September 1st and potty trained, they may attend until the day before their 13th birthday. We operate before and after school Monday-Friday, opening at 6:30am and closing at 6pm. 

Students get free breakfast provided by the school at 7:45am and an afternoon snack provided by us at 3pm. We have a Leader in Me curriculum as well as monthly themed geography, social emotional learning, and Diversity/Equity/Inclusion/Belonging lessons. We offer homework support, and academic support such as math, reading, writing practice. We are in communication with Teachers and parents about the individual needs of each student to create an integrated care plan to ensure growth and development of key skills. 

All staff are required to have 12+ college/university level credits in child development, the arts, physical education, and general education.

Students do not have to attend Loma Portal Elementary to attend Klassic Kids, however we do not offer transportation options. We serve ages 4-12, with an average distribution of 40 UTK/Kinder, 30 1st & 2nd, and 20 3rd & 4th. We offer full day care during non-instructional days, breaks, and summer camp provided 28+ students are enrolled. We are not allowed to operate on SDUSD observed holidays. 

We are licensed up to 112 students, but generally only have around 85 students so space isn't much of an issue. We offer options of 3 days a week, 4 days a week, and 5 days a week. Our rates vary and payments will be equally divided across each month of the school year, with breaks paid by the week. During Summer break there are weekly field trips.
